Vocational rehabilitation and disability management specialists are in demand more than ever. This course provides a comprehensive overview of the field, including historical context, domains of practice, Canadian disability policies and current industry trends. You’ll learn about impairments and disabling conditions that may impact one’s capacity to work. You’ll also explore past and present models of disability, the explicit and implicit values of work, the fundamental return-to-work hierarchy, and the means to developing a professional and ethical practice lens.
