Course Description
Getting people back to work after an injury or illness is key to any rehabilitation or disability management effort. In this course, you will learn proven strategies for planning and evaluating integrated, cost-effective disability management programs, as well as develop case management skills, including for early intervention and record keeping. As you learn to manage the return-to-work (RTW) process using person-centered methods, you will explore topics such as the RTW hierarchy, RTW plans, and graduated RTW, taking an inclusive, holistic approach to recovery. You will learn practical ways to navigate complex environments, engage with stakeholders, and manage insurance claims. Finally, you will assist employers in developing workplace accommodations, all within the context of advocating for workers with disabilities.
