Course Description

Vocational rehabilitation includes recognizing the importance of focusing on abilities, to enhance and restore function, life and work for individuals with disabling conditions. This course will introduce you to basic anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, signs and symptoms of injuries and illnesses, and treatment recommendations. You’ll learn to interpret clinical characteristics, diagnostic tools, treatment recommendations and vocational considerations, including a client’s abilities, limitations and barriers. You’ll also apply appropriate strategies for accommodation and develop a vocational rehabilitation plan in collaboration with various workplace stakeholders and healthcare providers.
